Tundra Muffins!

On this rainy/snowy/just plain icky day we made Tundra Muffins. Aptly named by A since they are filled with tundra berry goodness that we foraged this fall. These are some of our favorite muffins to make and eat. I made extra because DH always loves to take some to work to share.
So tonight, I am sharing my recipe with you.
Enjoy!

Tundra Muffins

2 sticks softened butter
1 pkg cream cheese (8oz)- softened
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup frozen lingonberries (or cranberries)
1 cup frozen blueberries

2 cups powder sugar
3 tablespoons milk

Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each. Beat in Vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into creamed sugar mixture and stir until just mixed. Toss frozen berried in tablespoon flour and then gently fold into batter. Fill paper-lined muffin cups 3/4 full and bake for 25 mins at 350.
Remove from pan and cool on wire racks.
Combine powder sugar and milk, and drizzle over warm muffins.

Bon Appetite.
