The "real Alaska" part 4- Anchorage to Denali on the rails

On Thursday we took the train from Anchorage to Denali National Park. The Alaska Railroad is AWESOME! I only wish I could always travel like this. I loved that we had space to spread out, could move from car to car, and were able to see some amazing scenery along the way.

I'll share a few pics from the ride with ya'll.

A reading the railroad book before we pull out of the station.
DH and A enjoying the fresh air in between cars.
We left Anchorage on a pretty gray and cloudy morning, but luckily as we traveled North the day turned beautiful.
My little Conductor. We were actually in the conductor's car so we got to know him quite well.
The first glimpse of "the great one" Denali (aka. Mt McKinley)

We saw black bear swimming across the river twice on the ride up.
 Crossing another bridge.

Made it! Arrived at the park about 7 hours later to glorious blue sky and warm weather.

If you ever get the chance, you should definitely take a ride on the Alaska Railroad. It was an amazing experience.

I will be sharing more pics of our trip in the next few days so stay tuned! Night all.
