Nature Paintings

First off, Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. We truly are blessed to have our wonderful children. It was a great mother's day here. A and Tom made me cinnamon rolls for breakfast and I opened my cards. (Nothing is better then the sweet notes A has started to write me all by herself, phonetic spelling and all) The we headed out to Micheal's so I could get some materials to make the bead materials for Montessori....more to come on that later. And for dinner my wonderful husband cooked use an AMAZING meal of steamed clams, bacon wrapped scallops, steak, and asparagus. OMG YUMM. Anyway, the best gift of all was the sweet snuggles my peanut gave me as I was putting her to bed tonight. I am so blessed.

On to the title of my post.....Nature Paintings.

I have been meaning to post these for several days. On Wed. A and I went outside and made nature paintings. We collected a bunch of different natural elements and used those as our paint brushes....It was pretty windy that day, which made the whole thing a little more challenging, but it was fun anyways. Here's a pic of our paint brushes.

Dandelions in all different stages, ferns, sticks, etc.

And the finished product proudly hangs on the fridge. The squiggly flying blue and red in the sky is "a mama macaw" to quote A LOL. I love this. We will have to do this again!
Again, A BIG HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you all!
