Vanishing Point- an art lesson in chalk pastels

Last week A and I talked about perspectives and vanishing points.

We looked at works of art and then she created her own.

She decided on a simple farmland scene. She threw in the wind turbines that are plentiful here.

After drawing with pencil, she traced her lines with a black sharpie...

 ...then she started with the chalk pastels...

She worked the sky first...

...then the rows of the field.

We both just love how it turned out!
