Lots of fun

So far it's going pretty well, but since A is just 2 and 1/2 I am kinda letting her do montessori some days when she is really into it and not pushing on others. Yesterday was an awesome day for it. She worked independently for a couple of hours doing the knobbed cylinders, in groups of 2 and 3, sand paper letters A-C and we read our phonics books for A-C as well. She did color box 2 (which is way to easy for her and I need to make box 3 tonight if i get time) We also did counting games which I made the other day and she loved. She can count to 25 now which is great. We are working on recognizing her numbers. After a good morning of montessori we took a walk and the history museum next door was having a garage sale. We got a play kitchen for $3! yep $3!. It needed cleaning and A and I spent an hour outside with the hose and Clorox but it is as good as new and up in her room. She is absolutely loving it.

On another note. A's Leap Frog Letter Factory came in the mail yesterday and she loves it! She has been asking me "teach me to read mommy" So I thought this would be a good start, and she seems to be spontaneously starting to read some as she is picking words out of books now that she knows.

This weekend we won't be doing much in the way of homeschooling since there is the huge boat regatta here this weekend and we live right in the midst of it all. There will be rides and a craft fair and my in laws are coming in. A should have fun with all the new experiences. We even went and watched some boats practicing today and she yelled "go racers!" She is so excited.

Well that's all for now. Thanks for reading lol.
