Mardi Gras 2018

This post is a little late, but now that we live so close to my hometown (just a few hours drive), I was finally able to take the kids to Mardi Gras. Now we didn't do the actual parade because it was raining pretty heavily, but we did go the the float loading party the night before.

The kids loved it. Seeing the floats up close is pretty incredible.

Little W adored these guys. They are a 2nd Line group from Houma.

Once back home, we decided to make our own floats from laundry baskets.

Of course we had to make masks and hats as well. MeMom came into town and got to be a part of the celebration as well.

The kids even had their own little parade.
